OrbiSage

Personalised content is easier to trust when the facts beneath it do not move with the prose.

01 / Why it exists

OrbiSage grew from Neil’s interest in astrology and numerology, and from how fragmented both can be. Different calculations and interpretive approaches rarely sit in one place, and generic horoscope products often hide where a reading came from.

He wanted to bring them into one coherent experience. OrbiSage begins with explicit birth and name inputs and deterministic on-device engines for numerology cycles, natal charts, transits, moon phases and year timelines. The optional AI layer receives structured outputs from those engines. It does not invent chart positions or numbers.

02 / Evidence in the work

Calculated facts before generated narrative.

Screens and artefacts from the project itself. Each caption explains what it shows.

OrbiSage iPhone home showing a daily mantra, personal day and routes into the chart and year view
The daily home gives a compact entry point into numerology and the Year Ahead.
OrbiSage numerology chart grouping six calculated numbers for a demo profile
The numerology view keeps each primary number and its supporting traits inspectable.
OrbiSage Year Ahead interface combining numerology and astrology views
The year view lets the user switch between combined, numerology and astrology foundations instead of hiding how the result was assembled.
OrbiSage self-profile reading summary for a prepared demo identity
A deeper reading is a separate product layer built from the same structured local outputs.
OrbiSage iPhone Name Lab offering given-name and business-name exploration
Name Lab extends the calculation system into an exploratory tool with a clear choice of given or business name; it does not turn a result into a factual claim about a person.

03 / Separating facts from narrative

Separating facts from narrative

The most important technical decision was keeping reliable calculation separate from generated explanation. Chart and number calculations stay in local engines, and only their structured results pass into an optional narrative layer for deeper readings.

The free product remains useful without generated content. Subscription benefits and one-time readings are separate entitlements, making the cost and product boundary visible rather than hiding everything behind one paywall.

04 / The build

The build

The native iOS product covers onboarding, a daily dashboard, numerology and astrology views, year timelines, compatibility and Name Lab for given or business names. Widgets, notifications, PDF and share export, and StoreKit entitlements extend that core.

A bundled MIT-licensed astronomical engine supports ephemeris calculations. Optional deeper readings run through server functions with structured schemas and a server-held provider key rather than embedding that key in the client.

05 / What this demonstrates

OrbiSage separates deterministic foundations, generated interpretation and commercial entitlements so each layer can be understood and reviewed on its own terms.

Next step

Have a product where generated content depends on facts that cannot drift? Start by separating the source of truth from the narrative layer.
