Stylo Mobile
Packaging architecture, information and icon systems

Stylo Mobile needed a packaging architecture and icon language flexible enough to carry a changing range of feature phones and smartphones.
The constraint
Feature phones, smartphones and screen-protector formats needed a packaging and information language that could change without becoming inconsistent.
The judgement
Packaging structure, information panels, icon families and 3D unboxing presentations were developed as parts of one modular visual system.
Commissioned scope
- Packaging architecture (outer box, inner structure, handset relationship) across the Brave and Universe handsets and the Galaxy/Inkulu/Jupiter range
- Information design for packaging and screen-protector formats
- Icon design (feature-phone and smartphone icon families covering software, screen size, camera, battery, voice recorder, SIM and memory)

Outcome
The packaging architecture and icon system Neil developed carried Stylo Mobile through nine years of changing handsets, from early feature phones through the Galaxy, Inkulu and Jupiter smartphone range, without the underlying system needing to be rebuilt.
